Hello, I’m Siny — an educator, school leader, traveler, and self-taught artist with over 17 years of experience dedicated to nurturing minds, building institutions, and creating spaces where children thrive.
I hold a Graduation in Physics, a Postgraduate Degree and B.Ed. in English Language and Literature, along with the Cambridge International Certificate in Educational Leadership (CICEL) from Cambridge University, UK. My journey in education has taken me across diverse landscapes — from the remotest corners of Rural Kutch with the Aga Khan Education Service, India (AKESI), to the vibrant metro cities of Mumbai and Bangalore.
My years as a school leader have not just shaped institutions — they’ve transformed me. In Kutch, helping transition a 100-year-old Gujarati medium school into a proposed ICSE institution taught me the power of heritage and evolution. Establishing a school in the wilderness of Gir National Park challenged me to adapt, innovate, and connect with one of India’s most unique communities. Leading branches of India’s premier school chains in Mumbai and Bangalore, including one of the largest and oldest campuses of Orchids – The International School, deepened my understanding of what it means to lead with empathy, resilience, and purpose. These experiences didn’t just test my capabilities — they redefined them, and in doing so, redefined me.
But more than titles or milestones, my heart lies with children. I believe every child carries a hidden key — and finding that key is the true success of any educator. I do not exist outside school classrooms; it is in their energy, curiosity, and innocence that I find my purpose.
Beyond all these I am just a woman who journeyed far — from a small, quiet village in Kerala to the bustling metro cities of India, where I led prestigious schools and built institutions from the ground up. But beyond the titles and travels lies a deeper story — one of grit, grace, and growth.
Light Within Shadows is a reflection of that journey — of the trials I faced, the truths I uncovered, and the triumphs I carry in my heart. As a school leader, I nurtured learning communities; as a traveler, I moved from place to place seeking purpose. And as a single mother raising a son with mental illness, I fought unseen battles that reshaped my soul. The road has been far from easy. Personal loss, isolation, and the weight of expectations often walked beside me. Yet, in every shadow I encountered, I found light — sometimes faint, sometimes fierce, but always present.
Outside the world of education, I express myself through art. My acrylic paintings — rooted in impressionism — explore light, identity, and the silent strength that shapes who we are. Art, for me, is not just creation but reflection — a companion to the educator in me.
